Govt of Singapore sells 2.9% stake in IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust for Rs 486 crore via block deals

The units in IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust were exchanged at a price of Rs 174 per unit.

Units of IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust ended 0.21 percent higher at Rs 177.38 on the National Stock Exchange amid heavy trading volumes.

According to exchange data, the Government of Singapore offloaded 2.79 crore units, representing 2.93 percent of the outstanding units, for Rs 486.14 crore.

The transaction was executed at Rs 174 per unit.

Prior to the transaction, the Government of Singapore held a 7.36 percent stake in IndiGrid as of the June 2026 quarter, making it the trust's largest unitholder.

Among the buyers, Neo Group, through Neo Markets Services, Neo Treasury Plus Fund, Neo Real Asset Yield Fund and Neo Investment Managers, acquired 57.47 lakh units, equivalent to a 0.6 percent stake, for Rs 100 crore.

National Pension System (NPS) Trust purchased 71.83 lakh units, representing a 0.75 percent stake, for nearly Rs 125 crore. Nippon India Mutual Fund bought 42.25 lakh units worth Rs 73.52 crore.

Other buyers included Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE, which acquired 16.45 lakh units for Rs 28.62 crore, and Askwa Income Opportunities AIF, which purchased 19.54 lakh units for Rs 34 crore.

Indian Energy Exchange, Alpha Alternatives MSAR LLP, KRBL, Bharti AXA Life Insurance Company and Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius each bought 14.36 lakh units worth about Rs 25 crore.
