01 Oct 2026
Actis has consolidated 11 Indian road assets from two infrastructure funds into its NXT-Infra Trust, valuing the trust at approximately ₹100 billion (₹10,000 crore).
The company raised ₹11.8 billion (₹1,180 crore) from investors through the transaction. Following the consolidation, Actis’s stake in the trust decreased from 86% to 71%, with domestic investors holding the remaining stake. The road assets were previously held by Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund 1 and Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund 2.
The transaction reflects growing investor interest in India's operational road infrastructure, which can generate recurring revenue through toll collections and concession arrangements.Recent transactions in the sector include Cube Highways and Infrastructure's acquisition of HKR Roadways in Telangana for ₹16.5 billion, and Vinci Highways' agreement to acquire nine toll roads in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat at a valuation of US$1.7 billion.
Actis considers India's established regulatory framework supportive of long-term infrastructure investments. The company intends to use NXT-Infra Trust as a platform for acquiring additional operational road assets.Beyond roads, Actis is also exploring investment opportunities in digital infrastructure, electric vehicles, waste recycling and water services.
